Raw materials are tested to determine their chemical composition and quality, and the finished goods are tested to ensure their purity and conformity to established specifications. The Analyst also prepares samples for testing by other divisions, inspects the laboratory apparatus, records all tests, keeps records of experiments run, and reports any anomalies.
