Specific day-to-day tasks may include assisting the veterinarian during examinations by collecting patient history, performing physical examinations, preparing patients for diagnostic procedures or surgery, monitoring patient vital signs, anesthetizing patients, managing surgical instruments, and performing delegated routine laboratory procedures. Performing other administrative tasks, including patient record maintenance and filing and accurate accounting of medical supplies.
