This role will often partner with various departments like Global Sourcing, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and R&D to develop a comprehensive supplier quality plan to minimize the risk of non-qualifying or nonconforming supplies and materials. A Supplier Quality Manager also may work with engineering to create design tolerance specifications. Other duties may include, but are not limited to, conducting supplier audits, determining supplier corrective actions, and ensuring suppliers meet the high standards of internal quality program criteria.
