The job duties generally include preparing meals between meal preparation times or serving snacks, assisting residents to the bathroom, changing bed linens, providing emotional reassurance to help alleviate discomfort and fear of the unknown, and assisting residents with bathing. The STNA may be required to perform other housekeeping duties such as cleaning floors and bathrooms and helping to maintain a sanitary environment.
