A sonographer is responsible for performing pre-procedural care such as preparation of ultrasonography equipment and examination room by ensuring the correct biohazard labeling is used on specimens, disinfecting surfaces, changing linens, cleaning ultrasound machine, and transporting equipment to the designated exam rooms.
