The Respiratory Care Practitioner provides pulmonary rehabilitation services for medically stable patients to address their physical abilities and health-related quality of life. They are responsible for the coordination of care with other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including but not limited to physicians, registered nurses, respiratory therapists, and other professionals. The Respiratory Care Practitioner assesses, plans, and supervises care, documents patient progress along with other healthcare team members in a treatment plan, including notation of objective measures such as weight loss, increase in calories burned, or living without a C-pap machine.
