Responsible for answering and dispatching police, fire, and EMS units while gathering preliminary information from callers. Duties are clerical in nature and consist of taking, transcribing, and dispatching police, fire, emergency medical (911) calls for service. May type forms, letters, reports, and logs pertaining to calls received from the public relating to crimes or incidents occurring within Department jurisdiction; maintaining composure and awareness while under stress is necessary.
