Working as a Patient Access Representative in Bayfield, WI

The Patient Access Representative (PAR) is responsible for the receipt, storage, and transfer of immunizations and/or other specialty referrals for other departments as needed. This position also retrieves medical records to verify eligibility on new patient visits and verifies records out for medical necessity or continuing treatment. Other duties include shipping medical and non-medical supplies, receiving and delivering laboratory specimens to local hospitals, and handling various administrative tasks associated with the registration department.
