They clean up bodily fluids, empty bedpans, collect dirty linens, handle waste, disinfect equipment and floors, and do many other services required to keep the facility sanitary and free of hazardous conditions. They do this all in addition to their general cleaning duties, such as wiping tables down or dusting a light fixture.
