In this position, the Loss Mitigation Specialist will utilize proven sales techniques to identify opportunities, generate leads through recommendation and referrals, contact the borrowers via mail, telephone, or personal visits. The Loss Mitigation Specialist develops prospects, negotiates solutions to delinquent loans, and works with customers until the requests are closed. The Loss Mitigation Specialist may also be required to maintain an extensive customer database that includes sensitive information as well as loss mitigation contacts in a timely fashion.
