The lead carpenter is responsible for planning the work and producing the work product consistent with the project design. A lead carpenter must communicate with and understand the building information model (BIM), coordinate with the project supervisor regarding scheduling, coordinate and supervise other journeymen carpenters' activities on a specific aspect of a project, provide input to the foreman regarding compliance with safety procedures, report any deviation in quality control standards to the foreman, lead student apprentices, and other apprentice workers at assigned tasks. This position requires advanced carpentry skills such as cutting, nailing, sawing, and installing flooring systems,
