An HVAC apprenticeship takes almost two years to complete. After two years of working as an apprentice, they will have the experience to be placed in any location that needs employees no matter which company they are with. Apprentices are responsible for obtaining and building the skills necessary to successfully install, repair, maintain, and service residential, commercial and industrial heating and air conditioning systems according to code. Work performed by apprentices may be closely supervised by an experienced Journeyman or Master HVAC technician.
