Hospice chaplains combine the roles of priest, social worker, and grief counselor. They provide spiritual guidance and bereavement support to patients and loved ones who have an impending loss. As a hospice chaplain, you will be called upon to lead funeral services, assist in administering last rites, oversee bereavement counseling sessions and grief workshops, and provide spiritual counsel in the hospital as well as inpatient homes and other facilities.
