COs are responsible for searching inmates and their living quarters for illegal contraband (such as drugs or weapons) to ensure a safe working environment. Knowledge of operating procedures for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) functions required for deployment in an emergency situation. This position is also responsible for providing rehabilitation programming support for incarcerated offenders whose health services are provided by contract vendors.
