The correctional officer is responsible for maintaining the security of the institution through prevention, intervention, surveillance, observation, detection, and correction of unlawful activities within the institution. Knowledge of operating procedures for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) functions required for deployment in an emergency situation. This position is also responsible for providing rehabilitation programming support for incarcerated offenders whose health services are provided by contract vendors.
