They generally work outside but may also be asked to work in a cable company's office environment. Generally, they will have two groups of duties: support and installation. Support duties include inventory management, safety training, and identify and repair cable system problems. Installation duties may include stretching cable over the top of a building or poles, attaching coaxial cables to TVs, and ensuring that all connections are secure.
