The Wafer Fab Operator is an integral part of an IT manufacturing production line. A Wafer Fab Operator inspects and repairs wafers during processing and packaging operations, just before the wafer is placed in a thin metal case called a 'chip carrier' or 'die.' The chip carrier is used to transport each finished integrated circuit (IC) from the fab to a testing facility or directly into the hands of the final product manufacturer. This position educates team members about the importance of cleanliness and wafer inspection in order to ensure that each die can be integrated into an IC package for delivery to the various assembly.
